Sieraad 2019
Sieraad Art Jewellery Fair is THE destination for statement jewellery. This was my second trip, and I’d go back every year if I could. Makers and buyers flock from all over the world to the stunning Gashouder venue in Amsterdam (notable not least for it’s proximity to the Tonys Chocoloney factory!). My trip was made possible by all the generous support you guys gave me through my crowdfunding campaign. Not only did you all put up the hard cash (for which I am eternally grateful!) but your reaction to the new products that I gave away as rewards helped my to develop my product range, and lost of your favourites from the campaign were launched at Sieraad as permanent features in my latest collection. Ring Pops and lidded candy pots were definitely your favourites!
One of the great things about doing art fairs is that you get to meet a whole host of amazing people. This year I was lucky enough to share my stand with Helga Mogensen who scavenges driftwood from the Icelandic beaches of her home country, and Mie Miyakawa from Japan who incorporates beautiful kimono fabric into her delicate silver creations.
